Whenever time permits, my friends and I go out for a day hike or spend our short weekends on long walk, run, leap and extreme mount climbs. and since we take this adventure as a way of showing appreciation on our nature, I always bring my gadgets with me - from a compact camera, DSLR, camcorder and the likes. and since we are on a trek where there's no electricity, i have to bring extra battery packs to secure that my gadgets are always available for use. I survived such practice until i've discovered this solar bag for laptops which i also use for my other gadget batteries.

it works so well for me as this solar bag keeps my laptop and other devices always fully charged that I/we can use them all while we are in the wilds.

the only thing that you would have to worry with this bag is it tends to be so heavy when filled-in with so many gadgets. so you better practice and have high patience carrying it for long hours. (Posted on 5/31/11)

I don't care what everyone might think about me, but I think this is a great product! How many people can brag that they can go on long hiking trips even when they have some office work that needs finishing? Not very many! And I'm glad that I am one of them.

Having a regular office job often robs me of the chance to go outside and get physical. I love hiking, but because I'm usually out for 2-3 days when I go on a hiking trip, it's not very easy to find time when I can go out and it on a regular basis. Before I was promoted, I'd be out almost every weekend, but after I got promoted to my current position managing client services, things began to change and I had less and less time to go out into the woods.

This solar bag gave that part of my life back to me. For the first time in 2 years I was able to go back out into the wild wood at least once every month. I take my laptop and an iPod with me on my trips with my sons. I hike with great music playing in my ears and I can finish work I've taken with me from the office after my boys go to sleep. Now that's efficiency!

Now I know that this might not be the kind of bag for every hiker - the battery pack adds a bit of extra weight after all. But if you're like me and you've been sitting in your office dying, and I mean DYING, to get out every now and then and wake up to dew on your tent, fresh air, and the wonder of nature, then I suggest you consider checking this bag out. It's definitely not for the die hard climber, but in my opinion it might make a great addition to a base camp site as well. (Posted on 3/25/11)
