Up the Ante

I’m going to include Bigboxstore in the first paragraph of this blog post, because I think search engines will like it. I’m also going to use the keywords “top online wholesaler from China“, too, because that might give our PageRank on Google a bit of a boost. I’m also going to use them in the middle of my blog post and at the end, because Google really likes seeing words repeated throughout an article, even if most real and readable writers don’t really write like that. Essentially, I’m just ranting today because I’m really wondering exactly what my work is all about, what I do on the site, how do I influence this industry, and why do we rank so low on Google right now?

To be quite honest about the Google question, I really don’t know. The first week I was blogging for Bigboxstore, all but one of my blog posts found themselves right up on the very first search page that would come up after doing a search with four reasonable and realistic keywords. The next week after that and every time since then even searching the entire title of my post doesn’t make it come up to the top. What happened to Google?! Well, I really don’t know.

But really, look back at those posts I made, they were great! They copied nobody (I didn’t even quoute), they were written from my own research, and they followed my own writing style. So what happened then? Did I put it in too many categories or did I use irrelevant tags or did I pad it with keywords? Heck no! Look them up and read them again if you want, they were good! Even my boss said that about them. I think I write like a proper writer, I don’t put Bigboxstore or top online wholesaler from China into the top, middle, and end of my posts like I’m doing now just because it will get me a better Google PageRank.

I’m a real writer, I pride myself in doing honest work, in not re-writing, in not summarizing, and in not copying other peoples ideas, and I find it kind of insulting that Google isn’t putting work that I’ve put a lot of effort into (sometimes doing work off-the-clock – I don’t always consider my research worth billing) back up on the first search pages where it deserves to be (or at least where it deserved to be before). I don’t even optimize keywords, because I consider that an insult to my intelligence – none of my articles, not even those that made it to the very first Google search page in the past were optimized for certain keywords. I just wrote. I wrote because I love to write, it’s a passion of mine – just as long as I’m not writing something that I goes against my principles as a writer and as an individual.

I’m a fan of Stephen King. I love the no-nonsense way that he writes. He tells great stories because he just writes in a simple way. There are no fancy words, there are no crazy formats, there is no real formula to his writing, just a man telling a good story the best way he can. I try to do the same thing – tell people about the good things I see in Bigboxstore and their products. I try not to show bias in my writing, you’ll find that my reviews will even include the negative aspects that I see about products in the store.

I admit, not everything about the products is good. Bigboxstore offers compromises for the expensive brand name products that capitalism has produced and put way out of the reach of the common John Doe in terms of cost. Not all the products we offer can do everything that their original counterparts do because one, China is still playing the catch-up game in terms of technology if compared to the west, but they’re getting there, and two, because capitalism also drives the prices of raw materials up, driving up the production costs for absolute quality, as well. And I write about that too, I don’t say that the phones, or the laptops, or the cameras that I review can do everything you expect them to do. I write about them in the context they best fit in.

So what can I do about Google right now? It all seems to be so messed up. I doubt any form of optimization is going to make my blog posts come back up on the first Google search pages – at least until they revise their search algorithms once again. I read about happenings like these all the time anyway, and they all say that the best thing to do is just wait and keep writing. After several months, Google might look at you again with love in their eyes. Oh please, oh please, Google! I don’t want to be forced have to include Bigboxstore and top online wholesaler from China at the top, middle, and bottom of my posts anymore.

E-Cigarettes Can Help You Help a Friend Quit Smoking

July 8th, 2011 by Red No comments »

Personally, I have never smoked, so I don’t know what it feels like, much less how hard it is to quit. I actually consider this a good thing, because my health has never been affected by such a dangerous habit. I do have a lot of friends that smoke, however, and from what I can see from them, it doesn’t seem to be a good thing at all. In fact, many of my friends who do smoke want to quit smoking, but are having a hard time breaking the habit.

Many of them have tried different things, like exercise, switching to a different vice (like girls, alcohol, or sometimes even drugs), using patches, or chewing nicotine gum, but the former didn’t help much, and in most cases even aggravated the situation, and the latter has proven to be too expensive for most of my friends.

Recently, in the country I live in at the moment, a smoking ban was passed and is being rigorously enforced that prohibits smoking in any and all public areas. The anti-smoking bill that proposed the smoking ban is still in its infancy and has yet to adopt the amendment that will allow for the allotment of special smoking zones in public areas – leaving many smokers (a larger majority of whom work a day job in a major city) high and dry for their regular dose of nicotine for most of the day. Because of this, many more smokers have decided to try to quit smoking – or find an alternative that will help them cope with the desire to smoke through most of the day.

Many of my friends faced, and are still faced, by the difficulties that have arisen due to the smoking ban. No longer able to smoke in public, they become irritable and excited as the day progresses. It becomes harder and harder for them to concentrate on their work and their productivity suffers.

Following the course of events, I decided to offer solutions to help them cope with the pressure of being unable to smoke and encourage them to quit smoking altogether. I was lucky enough to be working for an online wholesale company working out of China that sold e-cigarettes. Reading up on them, I decided that they would be a great way to help my friends suppress their withdrawal syndromes, and might prove to be a great way to help them quit.

The advantage of using an e-cigarette to help smokers kick the habit is that the smoker continues to receive a dose of nicotine in a manner that he or she is familiar with, reducing the psychological impact of quitting smoking as compared to a nicotine patch or gum. The nicotine content inĀ e-cigarettes can also be progressively reduced, until such time as when the smoker is no longer using any nicotine, but simply complying with his psychological urge to stick a cigarette between his lips and inhale. It is during this time that the smoker is able to quit smoking altogether, because the brain no longer associates the use of a cigarette with the pleasure that the smoker used to get because of the presence of nicotine.

By encouraging my friends to use e-cigarettes, I was able to help them cope with their withdrawal syndromes, and am encouraging them to quit altogether by lessening their nicotine content each time. It was definitely a great help that Bigboxstore.com sells e-cigarettes at extremely affordable prices, because I also helped my friends save money buy introducing them to the site. Their services are wonderful and their products are the best quality for cost you’ll find anywhere.
