1.can you please tell me as to what mail client does this phone support ?
2. Does it support SSL layer?
My internet service provider needs SSL on ports 995 and ports 465 for it to work. It will not send or receive mail without this layer. If not do you know if outlook or Opra mail client be loaded on to it?

For the “famous” not allowed to dial” is a software bug. You can avoid this. In the Settings Menu > Configuration Network, Configuration SIM1 > there are 4 options.
Do not select for any reason 1) ONLY GSM or 2) ONLY WLAN. If you select 2 (ONLY WLAN) then you get “not allowed to dial) all outgoing connections to GSM are blocked and you can not select another option.
I have heard about a software update, however, I can not locate it. I stumbled into this error. This is the cause – avoid it if you have one of the China phones with WiFi
This phone was working for a couple of times and then stop making calls and incoming calls the error massage it is not allowed to make calls. I hope you can give some advice to correct the problem. thanks

I have 2 questions. Has anybody been able to use any java application with bluetooth together on this phone. All java apps used for GPS that I wanna use with my bluetooth GPS module tell me – “BT not available on this device”, or “this phone does not have BT” but otherwise the BT is working. 2. question – I wasn’t able to find the option to set saving of sent SMS messages. It is not in the messages settings and not in the phone settings. Any ideas? Thanks

I just found that the alarm doesn’t work with my F003. I made sure it configured correctly (enabled/open), time set correctly, it didn’t go on in two consecutive days. So I did some test this morning by setting the alarm in two minutes away, it didn’t work either. Can you check if this is a known issue and if there is any work around?
i use this phone and very pleased..wi-fi is very fast and i use java application..download java programmes and used them,not any problem..i think this phone only have one problem that charching..i can use just one day so this is boring for me =)

Anita Dudevant – I found this on mine too, the alarm use to work but then stopped. A week later it was working again but I don’t know what I did that changed it.
Gokhan – Same happened with me and i tried the other battery too. Turns out the Wi-Fi drains the the battery fast. Turn the Wi-Fi off when you are not using it and you will get 3-5 days of normal use.
Another bug I found was enter in dial mode to make a call, then press and hold the # symbol and you change from silent mode to normal mode and back. This doesn’t work all the time, some days it does work and others it doesn’t. Some mode on the phone must be changing the function on or off without the users knowledge.

I have the problem “Not allow to dial” with iPhone Wifi N2. I am not able to change selection of “WLAN preferred”. I can disable Wlan but from the security setting it does not allow the SIM1 to change WLAN preferred selection to GSM.

I found this solution and it is sure to WORK with my MT6235,i think it will work for u guys too
01. Make sure two SIMs are online with good coverage, WLAN
switched off.
02. Press the “call”-button and type in *#3646633#
03. The phone shows “Engineer mode” with a menu of 10 different
items.
04. Go to No. 10 “RF test tool”, using the up/down button at the left
side of the mobile.
05. Choose “GSM”
06. A message shows up “Wifi….blabla”, just confirm with OK
07. Choose “Power Scan”
08. Select your local GSM frequency (in my case DSC 1800 for
Germany) and press OK.
09. The mobile will freeze now, because its adjusting itself. Leave it like
this for about 2-3 minutes and wait !!!
10. Connect your mobile via USB cable to a PC, DO NOT CONFIRM
any connection mode at your mobile, just and ONLY connect the
cable!!!
11. Press the Menu button (second from the left, the one with the seven
small dots on it) until you you the main menu with the 12 icons on
the display.
12. Go to “Settings” –> “Network Setup” –> “SIM1 network setup”
13. Go to “Preferred mode” and choose “GSM preferred” or “GSM
only”
14. The mobile will switch to your selection, but the message that it
will stay on display. Do not press anything else, just wait for about
10 – 15 seconds.
15. Disconnect the USB cable from the phone, it will show you that it
has switched to your selection.
16. Get back to main menu, switch off and restart the mobile
–> DONE.
I got a compass iphone from china MT6235 model A2141 but when i go to internet and open video it will go to another screen written on top is Insufficient…(after the words the others are hidden)and below it state Application

If i press back,it will stuck at a page to load internet
If i press STOP,all Java application will close including my Opera mini and can only be used after i reboot the Phone….Also i cannot save files-the error is no read permission-(what is that)

Now when I connect to my wifi wlan my phone turns off.

I would parreciate if any one can help me figure it out why once iphone n2 (wifi, TV) is set to “WLAN only” mode cannot be set back to “GSM Prefered” mode.
The dial number *#3646633# allows me to get into its Engineering Mode but I could not find any option for network setting for changing to GSM mode.
It has only 9 options and does not have RF test tolls option.
Under Bluetooth there is RF testing but does not have any option for GSM switching.
This problem I have with my iphone n2 (chinese clone) using T-mobile sim cards.
I do not know whether I need to unlock for T-mobile.
I had this problem from the first day received the iphone. I do not think I set it up for WLan.
I look forwarding to set some feedback from someone soon.

iphone model; WI-FI-N2.
It seems it is not the real “iphone n2 Wifi MTK6235BA”
Its options are:
1. Network Setting – sub menu – Network Info (to check or uncheck)- RR Cell Sel/RR Ch/RR Ctrl chan/RR Rach ctrl/RR LAI info/RR Radio Link/RR Meas Rep/CC Chan info/CC Call info
(I do not know if you place a check mark on them what happens. Now they are all unchecked under default factroy setting)

4. GPRS Act
5. Misc
6. Auto Test List
7. Debug info
8. Bluetooth – Sub menu – General Test, Bluetooth RF Test
9. Profile – Sub menu – Memory Monitor and Memory – Statistic
It does not have option 10 for RF Tools.
I have no idea how can it be reset with it network setting from WLAN mode to GSM Prefered mode.
It has one luck on front upper corner. It might need to be unlucked for its sim1 or sim2 GSM network.
Your suggestion will be highly appreciated.
