The CECT i9 is no longer available on the Bigboxstore.com catalog, however, if you're decided on an i9, the site also lists other more up-to-date i9s in its catalog, as well.]

Due to the overwhelming amount of emails we are getting we have decided to post a small article on how to add MP3 files to CECT i9 / i9 3G.

The audio player within CECT i9 looks in the “My Music” folder by defaultĀ  for music files or “MP3″ folder on other i9 versions. So as a first step transfer your music files to the “My Music” folder. If the folder does not exist on the memory card simply create it and name it “My Music”. Please note that CECT i9 is known to only play the following music file formats: mp3, wav, amr & mp4.

Once you have transfered all your music files to the correct folder you will need to refresh the list in order for the music player to see the newly added tracks. Simply go the music player in your CECT i9 then select List – Options – Refresh List. Thats it! You are done! You can now enjoy your music on the CECT i9.

I followed your directions but still cannot get it to work. When I plug the phone in to the USB it asks me if it is Mass storage, Webcam or COM port, if I just bypass this and select OK I can get the music app to come up but it won’t download the music I put in the “My Music” folder. HELP!
